IAM Tech Day passes Europe for the first time
The IAM Tech Day took place in Europe again on September 15, 2026, bringing together professionals, specialists and major players in the Identity & Access Management (IAM) market. The event includes Nuno, from CNN Portugal, as master of ceremonies.
Alfredo Santos, founder of IAM Tech Day, opened the event by telling a little about the beginning of the initiative, which was born during the pandemic, with two editions made in online format. Alfredo highlighted that he is also happy to carry out another European edition and to accompany the growth of the event over the last two years.
The program begins by highlighting two major challenges in identity management: the governance of disconnected applications. Opnova, supporter of the event, presents a disruptive solution developed in Portugal for the world, also highlighting its technological and strategic alliance with SailPoint, another supporter of this edition.
Large market players, such as One Identity, Ping Identity, SailPoint and Okta, present different approaches to Artificial Intelligence applied to the IAM universe, outlining best practices, challenges and technologies to support this new reality.
A Cloudcomputing trouxe for the event in view of fine clients and specialists for more than two sessions that will address topics increasingly relevant to the market: “AI Agents without Identities: Governing Artificial Intelligence Começa no IAM” and “PAM as a Critical Bridge between IT and OT”.
ME, also a supporter of the event, presented how access governance can contribute to the reduction of attacks, while iConnect is working for the platform to address Low Code IAM.
O IAM Brasil shares experiences and practical experiences with a lecture “IAM on Scale: Learning and Learning in the Brazilian Market”, bringing closer together the experiences of both Brazilian and European markets.
To wrap up the program, Alfredo Santos took to the stage with the presentation “NIS2 in Practice: The Impact on IAM”, addressing how the new European regulatory reality directly impacts issues such as identity governance, access control, authentication and privilege management.
Once again, IAM Tech Day reinforced the purpose of creating a space of exchange of experiences, knowledge and connection between a community of identity, bringing together specialists, manufacturers, integrators and companies using technology around two main challenges and trends of IAM.

IAM Tech Day is an event created to promote the exchange of information and experiences between users and technology providers. It was created by Alfredo Santos in 2021, after a constant search for specialized information on identity and access at conferences abroad.
The Congress, which has had in-person editions for Brazil and online editions for Latin America, always features speakers representing the most valuable brands in the market, as well as sponsorship from the largest national and international security manufacturers.
